Client Process

1

Based on our kickoff call, I’ll put together a tailored proposal with a few approach options, each outlining the timeline, deliverables, and pricing.

2

Before any commitments, we’ll hop on a quick 30-minute call to align on your brand, goals, and how I can help. We'll leave with a rough verbal outline of scope, timeline, and budget.

3

Once you’ve selected your preferred option, I’ll send over the contract. As soon as it’s signed, our project is locked in for the agreed start date.

My Product Design Process

Requirements Gathering & Goal Alignment

At the outset, I focus on understanding the full scope of the project through requirements gathering and goal alignment. This involves stakeholder interviews, reviewing existing materials, and clarifying business objectives, user needs, and technical constraints. The goal is to ensure everyone is aligned on what success looks like, establishing a strong foundation for strategic, user centered design decisions moving forward.

Competitor Research

In this phase, I conduct a thorough analysis of direct and indirect competitors to understand industry standards, visual trends, UX patterns, and potential gaps in the market. This research helps identify opportunities for differentiation while ensuring the product aligns with user expectations. Insights gathered here directly inform both design strategy and brand positioning.

Wireframes, Flow & Low-fi Design

With goals defined and research complete, I move into mapping out user flows and creating low-fidelity wireframes to establish the product’s core structure and functionality. This phase focuses on layout, interaction, and hierarchy without the distraction of final visuals. It allows for quick iteration, early feedback, and ensures the user experience is intuitive and aligned with project objectives before moving into detailed design.

High Fidelity Design & Design System

Once the structure and user flows are validated, I transition into high-fidelity design bringing the product to life with refined visuals, branding elements, and polished UI components. This stage focuses on creating pixel-perfect screens that reflect the final look and feel, incorporating typography, colour, imagery, and interaction details.

Feedback & Iteration

After presenting the high-fidelity designs, I gather feedback from stakeholders and, where possible, real users to identify areas for improvement. This collaborative phase is essential for refining the experience whether it’s adjusting visuals, improving usability, or aligning more closely with business goals. Iteration ensures the final product is thoughtful, user centered, and ready for development with confidence.

Development Handoff & QA

Once the final designs are approved, I prepare a detailed handoff for the development team using tools like Figma, along with design specs, assets, and documentation. I work closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation, answering questions and providing support as needed. During QA, I review builds, check for visual and functional accuracy, and collaborate on any necessary adjustments to maintain design integrity across devices and platforms.

My Branding Design Process

Research & Requirements

The branding process begins with deep research and discovery. This includes understanding your business goals, audience, market position, and competitive landscape. Through stakeholder interviews, mood boards, and brand questionnaires, I gather the insights needed to define your brand’s core values, tone of voice, and visual direction

Mood board

With a clear understanding of the brand's direction, I create curated moodboards to visually explore tone, style, and personality. These boards include references for color, typography, imagery, and design inspiration—serving as a visual alignment tool to ensure we’re on the same page before moving into concept development.

Initial Concepts

Building on the insights and visual direction established during moodboarding, I develop a range of initial brand concepts. These typically explore different approaches to logo design, color palettes, typography, and core visual elements. The goal is to present distinct creative directions that align with your brand’s personality and strategy, opening the door for focused feedback and refinement.

Key Concept Development

After selecting a preferred direction from the initial concepts, I begin refining and expanding the chosen idea into a fully developed brand identity. This includes fine-tuning the logo, exploring typography and color applications, and building out supporting elements such as iconography, patterns, and layout styles.

Feedback

At this stage, I present the refined brand concepts for your review and invite detailed feedback. This collaborative exchange helps ensure the brand direction aligns with your vision and goals. Based on your input, I make targeted adjustments to strengthen and perfect the identity before finalising the design.

Brand Guideline Delivery

Once the brand identity is finalized, I deliver a comprehensive brand guideline document that clearly outlines the proper usage of logos, color palettes, typography, imagery, and other visual elements. This guide ensures consistency across all touchpoints and empowers your team to maintain a cohesive and impactful brand presence moving forward.
