TEEZR

I’m currently leading the replatforming of Teezr, a vibrant and playful NYC-based startup that connects customers directly with artists and creators to make personalized products more accessible. As the head of product design and brand identity, I’m guiding the project through its design phase, shaping a cohesive experience that reflects Teezr’s fun and dynamic ethos.

The new platform is being designed around two core experiences: one for artists and creators to design and sell custom products, and another for consumers to browse and purchase these unique offerings. This re-platforming initiative involves transitioning from a WordPress-based setup to a more robust, scalable Magento platform to better support Teezr’s growth and evolving needs.

The Challenge

TEEZR’s existing platform faced serious technical restraints, preventing scalability, flexibility, and the delivery of a modern customer experience. At the same time, the brand was under considerable budget and time constraints, requiring a lean but impactful transformation.

The Objective

To create a new digital platform that not only resolves technical limitations but also introduces a refreshed visual identity. The goal was to design with intention around three key user types, ensuring the experience is intuitive, engaging, and aligned with each user’s needs.

The Approach

Re-platforming Strategy: Selected a scalable, future-proof solution that could be delivered efficiently within budget.

  1. User-Centric Design: Mapped out the needs of the three core user groups (e.g. Artists, Members and Customers) and designed tailored experiences for each.

  2. Visual Identity Refresh: Introduced a modern, cohesive visual image for TEEZR, reinforcing its brand values while ensuring accessibility and usability.

Project Research

Scoping the full depth of the project and defining clear deliverables and actions for every stage of development. Clear goals of what we want users to be able to achieve from using the digital product.

Wireframes & Content

Defining the structure of the product with clear, focused wireframe designs. Setting out clear gaps for the content we have and the content we need. Ensuring that the product structure is linking back to the clear goals set at the start of the project.

High fidelity Designs

Creating a high fidelity mock-up to reflect the brand’s new image. I created a new visual structure based on the brand update. Once the visual Image was signed off it was a matter of building out the rest of the content to match the visual guidelines.

Design Review & Alignment

Review high fidelity designs and feedback with brand team and implement changes ahead of the final demo and sign off for development.

Project Management and QA

Managing the project timeline and quality assurance throughout the development process to deliver a fresh new digital platform for Chicken Shop.
